Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

It should take fewer than30 minutes to prepare this recipe and only 35-45 minutes to cook.

Necessary Ingredients

Zip-lock plastic bags or a container with a tightly fitting lid

1-2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

5-7 large, firm sweet potatoes (peeled or unpeeled)

1 teaspoon sea salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

*3 teaspoons light brown sugar or raw cane sugar (optional)


Kitchen oven should be preheated at 425F

Wash the potatoes, pat them dry and then cut them into thin chips or strips

Add the olive oil and seasonings to the plastic bag (or other container)

Add the sliced tubers (a little at a time) and shake the bag so that all of them are coated evenly

Line a jellyroll pan with a sheet of aluminum foil for easy clean up and place the cut vegetables in a single layer. There should be a little extra space between each of the chips.

Bake for 10-15 minutes

Use tongs to flip each of the veggie chips

Return to the oven and cook for an additional 15 minutes or longer

You may have to adjust the cooking time depending on the thickness of the fries. The thinner the cut the more like potato chips the finished product will become.
