For you see, today it's possible for you to make a sugar free cherry snack that tastes just as good and cherry-full as those “sinful” desserts and treats that you ate in childhood...you know, before everything you ate under the sun, moon, stars, and rain was “bad” for you.

One of your leading selections of sugar free cherry snack that you can make at home is the following excellent chocolate-and-cherry-combining snack or dessert. Chocolate and cherries together make for a classic swee treat flavor!

Ingredients:

3 tbsp sugar-free chocolate syrup (these days there are various makers of such a product; just select the one from your favorite chocolate supplier)

1 cup unsweetened yogurt

2/3rd cup no-sugar-added cherry pie filling

Directions:

Put yogurt in a bowl, then add the chocolate syrup. Mix well.

Put cherry pie filling in center of bowl; then, serve.

But what about cherry pie? Nearly everyone loves that. Can that decadent dessert truly be had sugar free? Yes, indeed it can. You heard it right here: even cherry pie can be made as a sugar free cherry snack. Here's how you do it:

Ingredients:

Ingredients to make 2 nine-inch-round pies:

2 pie crusts (store bought or homemade)

2 16 ounce cans tart cherries (water-packed)

2 packets stevia

¼ cup cornstarch

1 tablespoon butter

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350º F (175º C).

2. Drain 1 cup of liquid off of the cherries. Pour this liquid into a saucepan. Mix in the cornstarch and stevia sweetener. Add the butter. Bring to a boil. Then reduce heat to medium and stir for one minute and ensure that the whole mixture is thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in the cherries.

3. Fit an appropriately sized pie pan with one crust. Pour the cooled filling into the crust-filled pan. Fit over the pie top and use butter or egg to seal the edges while crimping together.

4. Bake for one hour, just until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
