3 cups miniature marshmallows
¼ cup chopped nuts
¼ cup Smart Balance spread
1-teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups Rice Krispies
Place the Smart Balance spread and miniature marshmallows into a medium sized saucepan and melt these ingredients using low heat.
Remember to stir frequently.
Next you can add the vanilla extract and adjust heat to medium setting.
Allow the contents of the saucepan to boil gently for 2-4 minutes.
Continue to stir while the mixture is boiling.
Pour the marshmallow mix into a large bowl that contains the cereal.
Now add the chopped nuts.
Pour the marshmallow and cereal mix into a rectangular baking dish (8x8) that has been coated with non-stick cooking spray.
Add a bit of the Smart Balance Spread to your hands and press the mixture into the pan. (You can also use a non-stick spatula to smooth this cereal mixture if you prefer, but be sure to coat the spatula with Smart Balance or non-stick cooking spray.)
