Raisin Nutrition Perfect For Snacks

by William

Raisins make the ideal snacks for kids. Naturally sweet and loaded with vitamins and minerals such as iron, calcium, vitamin C, thiamin, riboflavin, and niacin these healthy little bits of sweetness come in convenient small snack packs as well as larger packages.

Raisin can be eaten alone or added to all sorts of food to give them a sweet flavor without having to add sugar. Raisins can be added to both cold or hot cereal, combined with other fruit such as applesauce or pears and even used to encourage kids to eat celery by making ants on a log which most children love. Simply clean a stalk of celery fill the hollow portion with low fat peanut butter and top with raisins. Kids love this special treat and they get the benefits from the celery and the protein of peanut butter along with all the raisin nutrition. What could be a better way to get your children to eat healthier?
