This peanut butter and apple snack takes just minutes to prepare and tastes great. Simply take a small to medium size apple cored and cut into slices. Then top with a small portion of peanut butter for added protein. One tablespoon of peanut butter should be enough to add a bit of taste to an entire medium size apple. Choosing low sodium peanut butter will allow people who need to watch their salt intake enjoy this snack.

Young children may prefer that their apples be peeled as well as cored.

Apple and Cheese Kabob

To make this tasty apple and cheese snack you will need some toothpicks, and a small bit of orange juice. Cut apples and your favorite cheese into 1-inch squares. Set the apples in orange juice for a few minutes and then drain to prevent them from turning brown. Then alternate a piece of apple and piece of cheese on the toothpick to form an attractive and tasty snack.

One of the nice things about apples is that they are versatile and they can be used in a number of ways for any meal or snack anytime of the day. You can add them to your morning oatmeal, eat them for a snack alone or with something else. Put them in stuffing for that Sunday chicken dinner, or bake them into a pie or make apple crisp for dessert.
