However, if you want to enjoy pineapple—really, really enjoy pineapple, that is—then you should at least try it as part of a low fat pineapple nutrition recipe. For example, if you bake with fruits, then the fruits will already provide a certain sweetness because of the natural sugar in them.
Check out the following recipe for low-fat pineapple and carrot muffins.
Low Fat Pineapple Recipe:
1 cup of plain flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
Half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
Two-thirds of a cup of Splenda
1 grated carrot
Half a cup of crushed pineapple
2 tablespoons of oil
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Half a teaspoon of mixed spice
Low Fat Pineapple Recipe:
Sift the flour, the bicarbonate of soda and the baking powder. Once you have successfully completed this activity, you can then go ahead and add the Splenda and mix the whole thing together.
After mixing that together effectively, you can then add to that mixture the pineapple, the eggs, the carrot, the cinnamon and the mixed spice.
After you have this entire mixture thoroughly combined, you should go ahead and spoon it into a muffin tray that has already been greased, just to help it out a little bit. Baking should take place at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 to 20 minutes.
As soon as the recommended time is up, you can take it out of the oven to stand for around 5 minutes, just to cool off a little bit. After the 5 minutes is up, you can then take your low fat pineapple and carrot muffins and place them on a rack, where they can cool off properly all the more.
Note how in this recipe, Splenda, which is an artificial sweetener, was substituted for sugar, thereby helping to cut down on the calories that sugar would normally contain. In just this example, you can see how we still managed to add some needed sweetness to this low fat pineapple nutrition recipe, but without adding any sugar!
As a result, what you have is a wonderfully tasting muffin that is still very appetizing to eat, but you will not get any of the harm that comes with a recipe that has a higher content of sugar or a higher content of fat. Another pro of this particular recipe is that it is made with ingredients that are very easy to just pick up at your local grocery store. Said ingredients are also not very costly to purchase.
