Lemonade Diet

Over the course of around 2 years, I have tried numerous ways that are rumored to be highly effective in helping people lose weight. These ways are inexpensive and although they are not as effective as advertised, they did help me lose some weight. One method that seems to be pretty common is the lemonade diet. Basically, for a few days during each week, you just drink lemonade (lemon juice or grapefruit juice works too) for all three meals. For those few days, you don’t eat any food at all; just drink lemonade or something equally sour. I believe that the idea is that the acid will help in reducing fat cells. For people who cannot take the sourness, they can add a bit of water and sugar. I’ve tried this method before for a few days, but couldn’t handle it. I did lose 1 or 2 pounds during the week that I tried, but I think this is not the best way to lose weight. The second way is similar to the first in theory, but offers more freedom and is easier for people to adopt. What you do is drink 2 cups of water before each meal and then after each meal, drink a cup of grapefruit juice (or anything sour). I think this works because water helps to digest food more quickly and the grapefruit juice helps break down the fat from the just consumed meal. According to the method, there are no restrictions to what’s in the meal, so it can be meat, seafood, poultry, etc. I actually enjoyed trying this method and kept it up for almost 2 months. The fact that there are no restrictions for what each meal contains is very appealing. I avoided oily food and ate more vegetables anyway, and managed to lose around 7 to 8 pounds with this method. I would recommend this method. The last method that I used and still use, is simpler than the 2 above. Basically, I just eat less food each meal, drink more water every day, and do about 15 minutes of power walking each day. I find that this method is easiest to control since you just control how much food to eat each meal yourself. The benefit of this method is that you don’t need to drink any sour or acidic liquids. I was able to lose over 10 pounds with this method over 2 months and maintained my weight ever since. If I find myself weighing more or weighing less, I can control it by exercising more and eating less or exercising less and eating more. I recommend this method the most.
