What you are going to want to do is first of all mix the oil, vanilla, eggs and milk together, and then add in the other dry ingredients gradually into the mixture until everything is thoroughly combined.

Then you should get a fast electric mixer and rapidly mix all of the ingredients together.

Once you are sure that the cake is properly cooked you should turn off the oven and turn out the cake onto a wire rack to cool down, as it needs to be perfectly cool before you can frost it.
