Changing my way of life
My greatest weight loss success came after I decided to complete change my way of thinking. Instead of making food the enemy I have made it strictly a means to keep my body and mind healthy. I don't obsess about food because I have filled my life with other pleasures such as family and friends.
I spend at least 30 minutes each day moving my body. My preferred form of movement is to take walks at a brisk pace outdoors, particularly in nice weather. I love to soak up my surroundings and breathe the fresh air.
When it comes to foods I stick to vegetables, low sugar fruits and whole grains. I've completely cut out sugar filled desserts.
One of the most important things I do is write down everything I eat. This makes me accountable for smart food choices and think twice about making poor food decisions.
