The acai berry is a reddish purplish fruit that looks a lot like a grape and grows on the acai palm tree in the Amazon Rainforest. Once heralded as a miracle weight loss fruit this berry did not live up to that reputation. Don't Be Turned Off By The Hype

Unfortunately, when this berry first hit the market many manufacturers of products containing this berry were out to make a fast buck and really hyped the benefits of this berry, overstating what it could do. Due to this many people were disappointed when they paid out hard earned money for products containing acai berries or juice only to discover that this berry did not do everything that was promised it could do.

This has made many potential consumers of this berry's juice reluctant to purchase this healthy juice which is really a shame since this berry does provide important vitamins and nutrients as well as anti-oxidants that the body needs. However, one should spend a little time researching this berry's benefits so they have a clear understanding of just what is possible with this juice and what is pure hype.

Simply keep in mind that that this berry is a fruit and like all fruits is therefore healthy for you. It can deliver a strong dose of anti-oxidants which is excellent for maintaining heart health among other benefits. However, it is not the miracle food that can solve all your problems that some companies claim it is. However, realizing that this berry does have health benefits which is important to the body's overall health will help to put the use of this berry and the juice of this berry into clearer perspective. So don't get turned off by all the hype, simply use this juice for the purpose that it is really intended.
